In this study, I got a rejection for intentionally giving low effort responses. This is an auto rejection I believe was caused by the buggy prototype which couldn't reach the end of a task properly. I wrote to them regarding the issue and they didn't repsponse. I disputed with Prolific support but Prolific has decided to uphold it. I am frustrated for being accused of intentionally low effort while I spent serioius effort on the study.

The study was one that targets a Dutch audience in regards to online banking. They have been doing this a lot lately. Their studies never fail me. And they are often quick and pay well enough. This one it self was fine. And nothing really out of the ordinary.
This was a bit confusing, had you try and create a log-in for a real website, but didn't clarify whether you should use fake aliases and your prolific email/a fake email, or genuine information. Good instructions would specify more on that. It didn't allow for you to sign up to the website regardless, but my submission was still accepted.
Apparently went through the study too fast for their liking, despite doing all the attention checks and following each task with care. I usually don't have this issue with this specific researcher, but I feel like they're slowly going downhill.
My first approved one, from many screened-out ones (wrong demographics) to returned studies (their app does not work properly or I did some dilly-dallying answers just for fun and it turned out without technical issues). My approval was less than 48 hours from the estimated up to 72 hours. Anyways, I always avoid those video capture ones and, to an extent, the ones that ask for voice recording. My reason is simple: not giving away my biometric data, especially for cheaply paid bucks. Otherwise, the rest is cool and okie dokie.
always screen out, that was the only one i got approved
Just did a study listed as 6 minutes and it took over 20 at a normal pace. SO many endless questions. I got timed out and wasted over 20 minutes on a study that should have taken 6.
I've done several studies with Maze and for the most part things went well until they didn't. I once got an automatic rejection for unknown reasons. I was able to reach out to them and to my surprise they responded in a timely manner and before I knew it the rejection was lifted. I did several more studies for them until the last time where I got a rejection for intentionally giving low effort responses. My mind was blown because I did everything that was asked of me considering the site I was to review was buggy and didn't show every component of the site. Again I wrote to them regarding the issue and this time I received zero response and Prolific has decided to uphold it. It's not worth it to continue taking their surveys.
Carefully read the first question, those are usually attention checks. After, it's pretty straightforward from there.
Rejection happy researcher with unfair and unclear attention checks with low contrast fonts on personal demographics (age). Studies often screen out anyway. If not screened out you often have to jump through lots of extra steps and use their app for a low rate of pay. Just save yourself the hassle of risking a rejection and block the researcher.
Their design of attention checks is very shitty and unnecessarily !!
